Welcome back writers. Tonight I have personally gone through the entries of this week, and I have decided upon the order in which you will advance. Seven of you remain, but only five are permitted on into the seventh round of competition.
For the first time in weeks, we witnessed a new first place. That poet was Tyler. However, I also reviewed all past work as well and have given scores based on that. I have skimmed each write again, and assigned a placing. If I felt you were the strongest of the seven left, you were given one point; second strongest was worth two points, etc. From there, the five poets with the lowest scores moved on; the two highest scores were the poets that had raked up the lower scores overall in this re- read.
That being said, I will now reveal the poets moving on. In first place, with a total of 9 points is...
Cris.

Cris, while you did not score first place in this round's task, you have placed first in the round overall. Congratulations, you have made the final five.
In second place, totaling eighteen points is...
Jen!
Jen, you have truly impressed me as I've re- read your work. For this, you have moved on into our top five group. Best of luck to you.
Not too far behind, ranking in with 22 points is...
Renee!
The same comment applies for you as does for Jen, Renee. You once again produced a worthy read this round, and between that and past efforts you have moved on.
Coming in at number four, scoring 24 points is...
Lindsay.
Lindsay, continue with it; you are still not out of this competition, and may still make a sweep in these final two rounds. My wishes are with you, yet.
That leaves us with Kevin, Trina and Tyler. In a moment, two of you will be leaving us. I am going to start by announcing the name of the first poet leaving us tonight, scoring the highest amount of points.
That person is...
Kevin.
Kevin, I am sorry but you have received 34 points overall. It was not low enough to keep you in the competition, and therefore you have been eliminated tonight in seventh place. Thank you for playing, and for always catching my attention.
That leaves us with Trina and Tyler. I want you both to know the love and respect I have for you. The final poet leaving us tonight was only down by one place. One of you received a score of 31; the other took a 30.
The poet leaving us in sixth place in this ongoing competition is...
Trina.
Trina, we love and adore you but tonight you will be leaving us. I am so fortunate to know you, and can only look forward to getting to know you more as time goes by. Thank you so very much for being who you are, and for sharing that with us in the competition.
Tyler, once again you have advanced. Your first place finish this round is what has saved you, as any other placing would have resulted in your being eliminated. Congratulations on achieving this, and for being the final man standing in this fifth season of competition. You have moved on.
To the five remaining, a new task will be coming your way shortly. Good luck.
