This Generation Isn't what it should be

They always say we're such a bad generation, such bad kids. And they tell us to be better rolemodels. Don't you think, if THEY *adults* were better rolemodels, we would be better ourselves?
They always say my generation, the teenagers, are such a bad lot. They tell us to be rolemodels. Personally, I believe this should be turned around.
I have heard several people insist that we 'Lead By Example'. Be a better rolemodel to the younger kids, pretty much, but what adult is a good rolemodel to us as teenagers?
The adults in my life are far from good rolemodels, although they are great parents. Drinking, smoking, partying, playing videogames until they can't keep their eyes open, using sex as a basis for a good relationship... Do they want me to live like that? If they're supposed to be leading by example, then what am I supposed to think?
If we weren't individuals we couldn't have these sort of biased thoughts, not like I do anyways. I am a firm believer of individuality, thanks to CG Jungs book 'The Undiscovered Self', in which he states "If the average weight of pebbles in a pile is five ounces, there is no guarantee that even one of those pebbles weighs five ounces.' Just because something's average doesn't mean it's wrong or right.
This is the same with teenagers. We act the same as our parents did as youths as a majority, and they yell at us for it. Could it be, perhaps, that they don't want us to turn out like them? Could it be that a part of them is jealous? Could it be?
