In this class we will pay homage to two of the 17th century Metaphysical poets, George Herbert and Henry Vaughan, by learning to write a wreath, as Herbert did, and by employing slant rhyme, as Vaughan did. We will explore several contemporary examples as well slant rhyme found in Vaughan's work and in a sonnet by E.E. Cummings.
