Class : Writing Wreaths and Vaughanets

Hi and thank you for your interest in the wreath and the Vaughanet. Please feel free to IM me regarding any questions you have as we go along…

In this class we will pay homage to two of the 17th century Metaphysical poets, George Herbert and Henry Vaughan, by learning to write a wreath, as Herbert did, and by employing slant rhyme, as Vaughan did. We will explore several contemporary examples as well slant rhyme found in Vaughan's work and in a sonnet by E.E. Cummings.
