Class : Theory Of Rhyme Part 1

This class is for people interested in learning about and writing forms of rhyming poetry or strengthening their already existing skills. Each person should be willing to:

1. Commit to classes
2. Give effort
3. Complete assignments
4. Have the time to concentrate on assignments

This class is designed to teach the basic concepts behind writing good writing poetry and will help develop an awareness when writing rhyming poetry. It is not designed to teach patterned meters.

I will not say that this class is hard or easy. It does take effort, a legitimate intrest in learning and time.

Theory of Rhyme: Part 1

1. Counting Syllables
2. Syllabic lines and Stanzas
3. Rhymes
4. Rhyme Scheme
5. Figurative Language
6. Figurative Language and the Senses
7. Assonance Consonance and Alliteration

Note:
I use very detailed, specific assignments to teach. I do not grade harshly but I do look at all parts of the assignment closely and will not grade unless all parts of the assignment are present. I am giving my grading policy up front so that there are no surprises after you are accepted into class:

I will be looking for:

every part of the assignment
following directions
effort
techniques
if you had trouble did you ask for help?
