Class : Basic bordered backgrounds using MS Paint

To take this class

you will need to have the Microsoft Paint program installed on your computer.

To check to see if you have it (window owners should)

Click on the start menu/all programs/accessories

Even though MS Paint is a very limited graphics program, it is capable of doing some

useful tricks.  It is perhaps most useful as an tool for introducing new users to working

with graphics programs, as its simplicity and small size makes it easier to learn.

If all you need is a very "basic" image editor, Paint is a pretty good choice.

Its greatest feature, other than its simplicity, is the fact that Paint is distributed freely with the Microsoft Windows operating system. This means that anyone who is running Windows has Paint on their computer (unless they've deliberately uninstalled it or decided to not install it in the first place).

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN IN THIS COURSE

. The basic uses of the MS Paint menus

. The basic uses of MS Paint tools, & their applications

. MS Paint terminology . How to create a solid bordered background

. How to create a patterned bordered background

You will have made at least 3 bordered backgrounds [Patterned & solid]

And have an enlightened knowledge of how to create in Paint.

The pre-made graphics that we will be using as the borders

have been created for this class  and are royalty free.
