Hallo there! I'm Bryony, named after a plant that causes mild itchiness.
Here are some irrelevant things about me:
- I'm currently in my first year of studying biological sciences at university.
- I need a slinky in order to think.
- My favourite published writers are Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Jane Austen and Ogden Nash.
- I have quite a few pets: 2 dogs, a guinea pig, an army of fish, a blackbird that can't fly and a caterpillar who will eventually become an elephant hawkmoth.
- I reckon my inner child is an irritable 30 year old who has given up on finding true love. Fortunately my outer child is about 3.
- I have a Yellow Submarine costume and a giant top hat costume lurking in the loft, in case of emergencies.
- I write about all sorts of things, although I tend to whinge about love and old age more than necessary, and I'll give pretty much any style/form a try.
- Although I tend to rant more than is generally considered healthy, I do rant in a cheerful sort of way.
- I enter more contests than I ought to, especially big multi-round contests that last for months. When will I learn?
- I always fancied being ruler of the universe, although now I reckon I'd probably just make a mess of things. But a thoroughly amusing mess.
- My room is space-themed. There's even a happy alien looking through a porthole.
- I could go on, but I'm feeling generous.
