I am the Mom of two grown children. My son is a musician living in Nashville. My daughter is an Elementary Education major at MTSU.
I am also a Middle School and High School teacher. I'm taking a break from teaching to finish my Master's degree in Creative Studies.
I am married to a wonderful man!
I recently moved from Oklahoma to Oregon. It has been quite the culture shock but I'm surviving.
I have been interested in writing since I was a young girl. I started out as a singer/songwriter in the late 70s, early 80s. I also sing and play the piano.
I loved all of my creative writing classes in college...still do.

Some of the themes throughout my poetry are the vivid memories, some beautiful, some brutal, of my childhood growing up in a small town in Oklahoma. I like to use language that appeals to the senses...imagery driven I guess...
