My real name is Cassie Not Cassandra. (But all my friends call me Cas) Thanks to my parents giving me a little bit of individuality from birth. Love you more then you will ever know Mom and Dad thanks for the good and bad times that we shared. For they have sculpted me into who I am today, living with no regret only getting stronger and wiser as I travel this path unknown.
I'm from British Columbia but my heart is in Edmonton.
Vancouver island and Salt Spring Island are my ol' stompin grounds. Which I believe aides in me being a little crazy, but only the good kind wouldn't have it any other way.
I had writers block for about 6 years.
My alter ego is all about how when I began to write I got scared by what flowed on to the page. So I locked "her" my thoughts and creativity away. " Long been forgotten, lost to the abyss entangled in the world that resides within. It was not safe to share her with the world. For she was the twisted reflection of my shattered subconscious."
Until I found my muse and she changed my life forever.
I don't even really know how it all happened. She wrote a few poems about some the experiences that we had shared. Her words awoke my thoughts and creativity. I had to leave a response I couldn't just say that it was a great poem. I wanted to divulge deeper and think outside the box of normal responses. To let her understand the depths in which she has reached me and for her to know that I feel the same. The outcome of this was "Just like any other day until you"
"She evaded my defences, and scaled the treacherous walls. Sound the alarm it is a RED ALERT. My heart is under siege. The fortress over thrown. The walls crumble away and the masks fall to the ground.I surrender. I have broken my own rule. I admit my defeat. It was just like any other day until you"
