I don't have obsessive compulsive disorder, and this is why:
First of all, I never repeat anything. I mean, SOMETIMES I repeat an action but only an action that a regular, normal person would repeat. NOT TO SAY THAT I AM NOT A REGULAR, NORMAL PERSON. But I do not, for instance, brush my teeth sixteen times or run my clothes through the washer twice or anything like that. Other symptoms of OCD include jittery behavior- I am most certainly not jittery. But I'm not self-conscious about being jittery, either: When I am afraid, I will quake in my boots, just as any other normal, god-fearing man will do. This is not to say I am god-fearing. Notice I say 'god' without a capital 'g.' This means I do not hold the same respect for god that say, a Christian would. Although I do believe in some aspects of Christianity I don't consider myself 'god-fearing' for if I were then certainly I would be using the capital 'g.' Also there is something about pressing 'shift' and then 'g' that makes me feel a bit awkward, as if I am being watched. Therefore, one might say that rather than a non-god-fearing man, I am a capital-g-fearing man. great. On top of all this I truly don't mind a mess. Not to say I'm a MESSY person but honestly if things are a bit out of order I don't mind it too much. Unless they are my things- when my things get out of order I am known to fly into a fit of rage and/or Mr. Clean. But otherwise I am completely cool with a mess. If I happen to look at said mess, with my eyeballs, that is (I am a strong believer in 'the third eye') then it might be a problem but usually on Tuesdays or Thursdays I don't mind messes provided that they are partially clean and not too gooey.
And THAT is why I am not a victim of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
