Well that's what you're doing isn't it? You are going to Uni to get a good education. There's nothing wrong with a back up plan. Makes good sense!

No way! Most of the top actresses are much older! Think of Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman etc. You've got plenty of time to do Uni first (or also).

But you see, they only became really famous when they got older. They were involved in the business beforehand.

Can't you try getting into acting part-time for now? Amateur productions, Uni reviews etc etc?

Oh yeah, of course, I got cast in one there on Friday. Woohoo!
And I've been asked to direct one too, we'll see how that goes.

Amanda, I have some news, and you may want to sit down for this:
Just because a male person speaks to you, does not automatically mean he wants to get in your pants.
Take some deep breaths, that's it, in through your nose, out through your mouth.... just let it process. It's a concept that requires a certain amount of depth, so don't be too hard on yourself if you don't catch on to it right away.

But I should like to assure you that the comment made by Arafura was misunderstood by yourself and possibly only because you do not yet know him.
I can say, hand on heart, he is a diamond and was just jesting.
He is one of the most respected and revered poets to grace the forums and allpoetry.
Enough of my babbling like a brook, before I end up writing a book!

The real purpose for helping someone is because they need help and you are able to give that help.
Wanting or expecting anything in return, whether it is respect or anything else is I feel, the wrong attitude. You should help people solely because you can.

I want to win the Archibald Prize (portrait painting). I've had a go at painting a number of subjects (a poet, a politician, a writer)...but none are good enough yet.

I think being a drifter, traveling from town to town, helping those I find. A drifter that no one would call poor, carrying a book of poems and songs to play sweet on my trusty violin. But, honestly I think I'll just settle for a beautiful wife, some kids, and making a living as journalist/copywriter/college professor.
