Kevin
I have never given out my E Mail address on this site to anyone other that you when joining.
Today i received an E Mail in the form of an update message from Allpoetry, stating that one of my favorites had posted a new poem, and that another had a new contest.
I would like to know how and why this occurred. If it is now the policy to disclose my E.Mail address then i will have to withdraw from this site,
As i know not what else is likely to become policy

Yes, you can turn i off. On your account page under "Personal Information" there is a place to edit Email notifications.

I have just found your earlier posting on E Mailing to members.
I feel that this is something that you have placed on us without consultation
I went to my account and found that each of the following the boxes had been ticked
E.mail me at ( my e.mail address)
Someone has added you as a friend
New comments on your work
New messages
New poems by favorites
New notes
One E.mail each week
At each visit, reset this tiler
I think that if you had intended to send an E.Mail to members
You could have sent one explaining the changes, and options to edit ones options
I could then at next log on i could have edited to suit
Not inform me that a favorite had posted a new poem or that one had set a new contest
Perhaps the reason many are not log in on so often is because of the arbitrary changes made

Thanks for your feedback!
