    I think i am falling in love with this dude tht has been my best friends for a year now. Im a girl n hes a boy. but the thing is, hes going out with my other BFF. i dnt evn kno if i lik him tht way or not, but i am pretty sure of it. but if i am, i am falling faster and faster for him and i dnt kno how to stop this. any advice, any AT ALL would be gud. i know the whoe rule "dnt date ur bffs man" yeah i get tht and i kno tht its rong to wvn thnk abt hving feelings for him, but i cnt shake thefeeling wat if i do, n he leaves her? she wil nvr forgive me n i can see tht she is emotionally dependent on him. i was thinking, wat if i only lik him bc he loks so much like my ex, the one tht i gave myself to, is gone...forevr. i want him, but then again, if i getnhim i will loose my BEST friend IN THE WORLD...i dnt wanna loose her, not fro anyman, but i stillvfeel the butterflies around him wen we tlk one on one. idk wtf is up, but idk wat im going to do...

    I dated my best friend. I totally regret it too. There are people in your life that you should keep as just friends. Remember that there are a lot of different kinds of love and you should be sure that you aren't confusing romantic love with platonic love. The friend and I are just friends again, but I think that dating really changed our relationship. When we did start to date, it was really hard to get past the comfortable friend stage into the romantic relationship stage. Once we stopped dating, it was hard to go back to the friend stage. At the end of our relationship, both of us were left hurt and confused. Do what you think is best, but make sure you think about the consequences before you do.

    Also, I recommend that you type with more vowels. Your post is very difficult to read.

    Friends have a shelf life of about 4/5 years. It's unlikely you'll stay in contact once you've left school. You'll meet better friends and wonder why you were ever worried about losing this one.

    So…

    Go for it with this boy. Have a bit of fun. You'll have a new best friend in a few years... and another in a few years after that. You can have so much more fun with a boyfriend... and it's likely, whoever you date, you'll end up neglecting your best friend anyway... to the point that the friendship ends.

    Oh, er, I've just read you're 13. Ignore everything I've just typed. Don't even look at or think about boys until you're 21 and have graduated from university with a useful degree.

      I don't know what kind of friends you have, but my friends last way longer than 4/5 years. My friends mean way more to me than a passing boyfriend.

        he's just saying that because some of his car buddies get shipped off to other places for other people to drive. he still holds out hope that he'll spot one of them as he cruises down the highway...

    hey, im 13 too but i think that dating this young is kinda stupid because the relationships only last a matter of weeks and its not real love anyway...
    thats my opinion....
