If you are looking to get your music out there and be heard here's a great chance to be apart of something new and something big. I am a classical composer as well as a singer/songwriter looking for a Talented Poet that has a passion for his/her work. This will be a long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationship. No gimmicks, no tricks, no scams.

The Poems will be used for both contemporary and classical music. You will receive 100% credit for the work that you have done and maintain the ownership. All I am looking for is written and signed consent to use your pieces within my own music. This is a new project I'm working on. The first pieces will be simple contemporary songs. Later we'll progress into Art-Songs and potentially Operas.

Additional ways of getting your work out there and known will also be provided. Including a website and more. Primary communication will be done through e-mails. However, I feel that vocal communication is just as important.

    Serious Poets Only!

E-mail me at OctaveBox@gmail.com with any questions or samples of your works. I reply to every single e-mail in one way or another.

Will you be returning to the site to check comments left here? It would make it look a lot more legitimate if you did.

I'm happy to try anything having written lyrics in the past. If you check my page you'll see that I like to work in rigid metre and rhyme (I currently write rhymed acrostic poems -often to accompany my own artwork and ballads) Sometime ago, in responce to a call for an anthem describing life in Britain in the 21C I wrote the following lines. They are an acrostic of GREAT BRITAIN and can be sung to the tue of "The Miner's Lifeguard" . I find it fairly easy to fit words to music.

    Golden islands of the ocean
    Reaching out around the world
    Each inspiring our devotion
And pride when'ere our flag's unfurled
    True, we embrace many cultures
Bound by love of this fair land
    Relish freedom, hate all censure
In danger we'll stand hand in hand
Truth we love and worldwide justice
Though oft called a mongrel race
Infact all that we have to say is
Now is now and here the place.

I don't necessarily agree with all of the sentiments I expressed but they fitted the theme.

I'd love that. I don't know, my favorite song has a melody already but no instrumental background - I'll send something else once I select one
  • I am interested as long as its not comercial. Read my stuff and let me know. Can add more stuff here or send it to ya so you can read more if interested. Have worked with musicians already and am one kind of myself. Always up for a challenge writing different stuff!
    • You probably didn't look at this guy's author page. He hasn't been back since May 21.
