I don't mean like, smartly gifted, I mean creatively gifted. Can you guys help me by, I don't know, find some websites or something for me?
I know that I'm doing better than last year where I had 2 F's, 5 D's, and 1 C. Now I'm getting all C's, except for 1 B+ and a A-.
I am very happy with these grades, and hope to maintain them, but I want to be reconized for my creativity. I know there are collages i can go to, but I want to go to a high school where I have to get a letter from them, not them get a letter from me.
Please help me! -
I'm in a Creative Arts high school!
Well, Performing Arts.
And it's only for two hours.
But still!
What kind of creative-ness are you looking for?
Because I know you live in CT too, and maybe could attend the one I go to...
*gasp*
That'd be wicked awesome. -
-
That would be cool!
Preforming arts, eh. Maybe when I was a few years younger I would have thouht it to be marvolous.
I really want to get back into ballet, though, like when i was little.
I was thinking more like writing books, poetry, speaking motiveationally. TYhings like that. -

There's a Creative Writing class. I take it. It's books, poetry, songwriting...
And you could take some sort of acting class for the speaking one.
And, yeah, there's ballet.
Here's the website:

Lucky.
The world would have to change for our school to get a creative writing class. -
-
It's *not* my school, though, it's the half-day Performing Arts school.
-
-
I go to a half-day technical high school for networking.
Why can't we have a half-day performing arts school?
I hate you. -
-
Don't hate me, hate the Board of Ed.

Why don't you ask the teachers at your current school if they can help you?
-
-
I cannot because they don't think I'll ever add up to anything. I know what I am:
Ugly
Stupid
Usless
But I still want to try. My teachers know I'm stupid. Thats it. End of sentance. Period. -

Have you ever thought about turning emo?
-
-

Oooo! Do you like to draw and stuff?! I do! ^_^ I thought about joining a gifted one too but I really don't want to leave my friends.
-
-
my friends are going to different high schools, anyways. They live in different towns than me.
-
-
Thats good but at the same time that kinda sucks.. a lot. >_<
So what is your gift anyways? I wants to know! ^_^

No.

ask a teacher and if they dont believe you are good enough tell them that you know you are good cause it is not up to them it is up to you. you believe you are good enough then go and get what you want to do.

I don't know if this is the same with highschools, but, most art schools that have any reputation for being good DO care about grades. Mostly c's will NOT get you into a good school. The only creative arts HS I looked into in MA had very high standards, and therefore a reputation for having well-rounded students who got into good art colleges. Unless your portfolio is absolutely OUTSTANDING then you needed B's, at the very least.
And, then theres the issue with college. If you want to major in arts in college, then going to an art HS is a good idea. However, unless you are ridiculously talented in some form of creativity, I reccomnd against majoring in arts. Unfortunately, there are not many artists who succeed, and that is just the fact of the matter. Sad, but fact. It all really depends on what your plans are.
As for HS, I don't know why you would even want to go to a creative arts school. I toured a few of them and found most of the students to be pompous, elitest assholes who think they're better than everyone because they are "artistically gifted." And trust me, I really wanted to go because I not only write, but paint. The students really turned me off. I just think you'd be much better off going to a normal HS and then deciding after that whether or not you really want to pursue arts, especially because a lot of colleges with good academic departments look down upon creative arts highschools and you might end up fucking yourself over in the end should you choose to major in something more academic versus creative. And TRUST me, you may think that day will never come but you're only in 8th grade and your tastes and dreams WILL change by the time junior year rolls around. I was hardcore into art and really wanted to do it for the rest of my life, but I chose the medical field instead. -
