A good friend of mine declared her love for me today

    I don't swing on that side of the fence. Cheers to those that do, but I just don't. Women are beautiful and I always love writing about them and observing them. But I have no idea what to make of this.

    She's someone I really enjoy being around, but man, things have gotten akward.

    That happens if it is a guy who does it too and you are totally not into them. When guys do that to me I either tell them I have a boyfriend (if I do) or awkwardly avoid them for four years. There is probably a middle ground that involves sucking it up and moving on once it is established there is no interest from one party but I haven't yet been mature enough to do that. Hopefully you will be. Good luck.

        Such a small word, so hard to do. Have faith. I'm still friends with people who I aren't attracted to who have hit on me, and I'm so not mature, so you can probably do it easy as and in a much shorter time period than me.

    Talk to her about it. You can't just avoid her or pretend it's nothing when it really bothers you. don't eff your life, s*** happens and you are forced to deal with it. You just gotta choose which way.

        Well does she know you don't feel the same way back, or do you still have to tell her this? You have to not hurt her by letting her down easy.
