    There's a time and a place for everything. That's what I think.

  • what do you mean?

Like, curse words or words used in the wrong pretense...

or perhaps words that are really boring, like good...

or words that are just badass because they break all the grammar rules or have too personalities depending on the region (ie harbor/harbour)

  • Bad words are just like any other words. In the right context, they are fine.

    Sometimes necessary. Sometimes for comedy.

I'm not a big fan of soft language.
  • I swear often. though not infront of my parents and if I can (hes in alot of my classes) my brother and other siblings. oh and teachers. but I know I really should stop. I swear WAY to much
  • You mean swear words? I think they make people sound a bit common to be honest...sometimes in comedic situations they help elevate the humour but in everyday speech I prefer people using nonoffensive alternatives.

I get fucking pissed off when people swear.
  • A certain amount of responsibility comes with the ability to swear. One should obviously not swear in front of a little kid but if you're alone with your friends you can swear as much as you want I say.
    • My siblings and I have taught my little brother to swear. There's just something really funny about a six year old swearing! But he knows only to do it at home, and only because it's hilarious.

Yes, yes, I'm a terrible person. I don't think I've damaged his little brain to any great extent though.
      • Little kids swearing are hilarious! I only said not to do it in front of kids because some parents get really upset over it.
        • It's not so funny if it becomes a normal part of their vocabulary, but the sheer mischevious glee on my little brother's face when he knows he's getting away with doing something a bit naughty is just brilliant to see. (Plus it really upsets his dad, which is a good enough reason for me to do anything.)

But yeah, I wouldn't advise doing it in front of other people's kids. Unless you know their parents are cool with it.
          • It is a little bit for me. Watching a little kid come up to you and say "What's up fucker" is pretty funny the first time. But the kid's not gonna say it a second time, I'm pretty intimidating.

I do not think you got a swear to get something across, just learn to say it without them, make up words like... freakin or ashhole, ya know?

Just enough swear words can really spice up anything you say.
