I stormed off in a huff. Having never done that before, I found the experience enlightening.
I had hypothesized that the I'm-hurt-so-I-have-righteous-anger schpeel (is that a word?) that I gave out would give me some sort of moral satisfaction. As it was, my hypothesis was disproved.
A word to the wise; if you truly do feel hurt, then it would behoove you to be upfront about it. In this case, I gave an angry reply to Rodimus (I do apologize for making you take the grief on that, by the way; I hold any fan of Transformers to be worthy of universal respect,) which vaguely implied what "my problem was," so to speak.
It left me feeling - there is no other way to put it - like a jerk. Instead of leaving me with the feeling that I had taken the moral high ground, I felt that I had taken the intellectual low ground. Which, in retrospect, I had.
By attempting to take offensive at the widespread suspicion of "Emo-ism," if you will, I had confirmed, in whole or in part, the image presented by the label. This, I believe, is the logic behind Iambenign's comment, "Oh no please don't leave in a huff only to come back in a couple of days. Please save us all the attention seeking emo pain", as this course of actions would have fit the image I was presenting.
As a final and frankly unrelated remark, I find it odd that the word (or abbreviation, depending on the usage,) "emo" is not in the dictionary that the website is using. -
Tantrum over then?
I really wish people would follow through with their decisions once they've made the "NOBODY LOVES ME ON HERE SO IM LEAVING" post.
You just keep dropping. -

everyone drops
-
what if
that wasn't the case for leaving

Calm down.
I'm not sure I care enough to harbour real feelings of dislike. -

lol

So this wipes out any similarities we might have shared.

I try to keep them in a cage mostly.
Sometimes they escape. -

And I will respect your role as Jesus.

-
No, Jesus.

-
...What?
-
I still have no idea what caused you to be angry in the first place. Did you think we were being smart asses?

The image was created to coral .
The image label itself is pliable.
People will change the design in the image
to include the color of your eyes
like a net wrapping around a twisting fish.
It's not so hard to convince someone that they conform to an image.
And if the image is considered negative,
they feel pressured to take action to dispel that image.
