Poll: Would it be handy to have your custom backgrounds most recently used shown first?

    It would be nice if we had easier access to all our backgrounds. The pages take a long time to load, so maybe we could choose a custom number to how many show on a page, or maybe a view all link? It gets frustrating shifting through so many pages to find what you're looking for.

      Hmm, it takes so long though because the images are big Internet explorer crashes if we show much more than the current number...

      But yeah, finding the ones you use the most when you have a kazilion was the idea behind this...

      Any other idea of ways to keep the ones you use most at the top of the list? Without making a complicated system of ordering them, this seems like the best way

        what about naming our backgrounds the way we name secondary images. That we, we can just have a list of names that we can open or close easily and view them if we have any doubts.

        Other than that, what about putting the backgrounds into various custom groups?

          hmm, both of these involve a lot of extra interface and work...

          If we show text labels only for backgrounds, then there would need to be a way to toggle between seeing the images and seeing the text/etc... And a whole labeling system to let you label your images...

          How often do you use all your images? I'll cry increasing the number shown per page on custom backgrounds as well...

            It would ... but if there was an easier option, it probably wont be worth doing.

            The toggle that you use when selecting a custom background or even one of the provided ones making another one appear to help choose the font colour could be used - or atleast, that's the kindof idea I had. Even though, admittingly, I hardly know about about web design.

            Okay, if that doesn't work - what about the second idea? About allowing some form of grouping or listing of the backgounds so we can arrange them ourselves? Though that might take a lot of interfacing as well.

            I don't use my images. Because I'm not a gold member anymore - it expired a while ago and I'm not planning to renew it as I don't like the way backgrounds are being displayed at the moment - it works for the tiled ones but not the border ones. And I have writer's block - but that is besides the point.

            But normally, I don't use any image more than once. And if I'm not using a particular image, I delete it from the site so the server isn't heavy because of me - kind of stupid, I know, as many people, I assume have too many images.

    In addition, it would be nice if the font colors that we use most often for the title and for links would default to our most used setting, as well.

    I'm a free memeber, but I would like to add my two cents too.

    I don't use custom background because I don't have a Silver or Gold membership. I think that it would be nice if Allpoetry did that for free members though - showing most recently used backgrounds (free memebers).

    I think it would be handy too if you would show all messages and notes recieved while offline when first logged in, or adding a "on" "off" mode for it.

    I don't like that the "message" box is so little either. It makes it hard to read what I have written and go over it.

    I do not like alot of the changes made to Allpoetry. Although I do love the way it looks now! Very appealing. More modern.

    I love that you can have a free membership and still have a great time on Allpoetry. I hope it stays that way. Very generous to give free members all this.

    Allpoetry is indeed my most favorite site. I don't hardly visit anything else on the web - I spend all my time on Allpoetry!

    I do agree with Rose Dark thorn. It is frustrating.

    I hope that Allpoetry lightens up alittle bit too with some of its rules. I think it needs to give you a little bit more freedom of speech, although it is pretty good still but could be better.

    And I agree with Scott Adelmann.

      ordering which site-based backgrounds you use most would be unfortunately pretty difficult at this point, but I'll keep it in mind!

      The message box should expand as you type... But if you write from your 'messages' page it should be larger as well?

      Messages when first logged in - hmm that is how it should work curently If you have more than 30 or whatever it won't show them. You can toggle in your display settings whether to show them, or just a notification of how many messages you have.

      Freedom of speech - we try to walk a line to keep both the conservative and liberal members happy. You should be able to say nearly whatever you want, if it's an adult/sexual theme make sure it's in that category, and don't harass any other members The rules are hopefully fairly easy to read too (link @ bottom of all pages)

    i am a free member, but i was wondering would it be worth having an expiry date for images and such, like if you havnt been on it in say 30 days, it automatically deletes?

    Also i like the idea of custom backgrounds or images for free members, but maybe a limit? such as 5 or 6 a week of each or something? but no limit for paid members.

    I think that somehow we should be able to choose the backgrounds on pages such as these, the CB and such, you see for some people, the dark colours are hard to see on, and dont like the colours, maybe it would be a good idea to have a selection area where you can pick the theme for the site for your account, so every page is the same.

    Also with custom backgrounds i liked the idea above of having the different catagories/labels to put ur own custom backgrounds in, so you could find the exact one you are looking for if you dont have much time or something.



    I like most of the changes to the site, and think you are doing an awsome job trying to keep everyone happy.

    I think the whole member thing is anoying. Non payers dont get to use these options. In my opinion, if I could choose, It would be easier to have our recently used backgrounds at the top.
