Not that I can speak for other people, anyway, but I have more respect for a man that overcame his vices and continued to release great music in the twilight of his career than a guy that became a burned-out drug addict. -

Bump(BUMP) November 11, 2006 - December 17, 2006
I saw Hank Williams: Lost Highway last Friday at The Lyceum Theater in San Diego.
The first act exhibited some memorable moments particularly when child Hank is taught the blues by an old black gas station attendant in exchange for whiskey. How the man patiently teaches Hank to sing with his(Hank’s) own feelings. Also, the interaction of the band members and Hank’s Mom while she drove them down the road in an impromtue car composed of crowded chairs is spell binding. The leans and jerks of the actors in concert brought the turns and stops of the car to the stage.

I know what it's like to be forced to listen to music. My entire childhood my brother was obsessed with Elvis.
I went to sleep nearly every night hearing:

I used to dance a few years ago, that was one of the songs we had to dance to. It was stupid. Thats the secret reason behind my hatred towards Elvis.
