abstract, obviously 'word-driven' stuff
because I'm so into music
my written stuff's spare, rhythmic, but not melodic; as I listen/work with so much melody in audio, I think I'm subconciously worried about cross-contamination, I go the other way from full-on explanations in my writing
whereas my taste in music's mainly base: bass-driven sensual/sexual lyrics & rhythms, obvious & loud, I think my writing style's height: thought-driven, academic/esoteric lyrics & rhythms, subtle, without ground...
not music, poetic!

Your style in poetry reminds me a lot of the work of polly filla! In other words you have a pretty unique style which people love. But then... I might be just sucking up!
-
-
yeah...which people!?! *looksaroundhopefully*
why you suckin' up, bwoy?
-
-
Well everyone seems to think you are good. I'm just a natural born suckerer-uper.
-
-
"everyone"

I take that as a compliment tho', so thanks!
anyway Ara', how would you describe your style of writing? -
-
I'd describe my style as "mood-driven". And "all over the place".
-
-
excellent!
-
-
Trouble is my moods are usually dark and shitty...
-
-
not always! your mood's mainly light & chatty here!
(always look on the bright side of life *whistles* ) -
funny, because my writing's quite depressed, with apocalyptic tones, yet in real life, I'm light & chatty, with frivolous tones
I must keep it all in
-
-
I try to be light and chatty here on the boards out of respect for others.
Who wants a misery wart dragging them down?
But my poetry comes from deep down inside and is who I really am. -
-
oh
I don't try to be light & chatty; if I feel down, I just keep away from people until I feel happier
-
-
Sounds like a good method!
-
-
it gets similar results to yours, but it's easier on the self

I don't see the point in carrying guilt for the way I feel...misery loves company, and I'm an unsociable bastard!
