Suicide Is Painless

I just learned how to play the first first few lines of "Suicide Is Painless" on the piano! Whoo! My dad only had to show me twice for me to get it. I took up the wrong instrument (drums).

Through early morning fog I see,
Visions of the things to be,
The pains that are withheld for me,
I realize and I can see...

Can't get past that, though. But I'm trying to figure it out by watching YouTube. Meh. I'll learn eventually. (Yeah, C, just like you'll learn the rest of "Jump", eventually, too.) Oh, shut up you!

You can now ignore this M*A*S*H related announcement.
  • My friend and I are learning how to play Master of Puppets with our guitars of course. Learning to play music you like is awesome isn't it?

I've just been playing Moonlight Sonata, 1st movement (again). I'm trying to get the bits where the right hand plays two Gs for several bars to sound like triplets, but I can't seem to stop stressing every other note.

I don't know much about piano, but I still think it sounded great...

The nails on my left hand are shorter than the nails on my right hand at the moment.

I suggest you utilise a nail file.

Why bother? Clippers are faster. I need to get my left hand even shorter, now, as I have a viola lesson tomorrow and the Bach piece has horrendous fingering. 4th on the D-string, and 3rd on the A-string in some ridiculous position, and my book doesn't even bother to use treble clef. Not as bad as Stamitz, though.

That is true, but a file produces a smoother finish. Unless shortness is your only concern.

Oh, I'm sure you'll manage. The more complex it is the better you feel when you achieve it, I think.

Jeans give a smooth enough finish when it's 1:35 and my lesson started at 1:30. This happens often.

A novel improvisation. And I had you down as punctual...

My teacher will start at about 1:45, anyway. Punctual? For lessons, no. For trains, yes. For morning registration, yes. For the school bus, no. For homework deadlines? Ha!

So, you are inconsistent as well as occasionally late.

As for the homework? I suspected as much...
  • M*A*S*H is AWESOME!!!
  • Argh!

I've been searching all over the internet, but no dice. Can someone help me find the sheet music for this song?
  • Ha! And I just figured out how to play it on my cell phone:

And I wasn't even trying to do that! I was just fiddling with it and heard how it sounded like the song that I, just today, learned how to play.
