How can I get more Reads?

I have featured in the feature box. And it seems I do occasionally get some replies or feedback. I don't spam as much as some people do. I am starting to think it's my poetry, that it's just plain bad and that no one wants to read it.

The best way to get reads on your own works and posts, it to make a point of going to as may other poems and read and comment on them.
The more care you take with your commenting, the more likely people will be to come and return the favour and comment n your own works.
While you are making decent comments, you will earn points, with these points you will eventually be able to feature your poems in the feature box or as previously suggested, in the shameless promotion box.

This being an interactive site, the mor you put into commenting the better the response you will receive.

Also you could try joining groups who share your interests in subject mmatter.....

I hope tht helps a little.

I'm confident that I am a prolific writer and that my poetry just renders people speechless.
    • prolific: 1. Producing offspring or fruit in great abundance; fertile. 2. Producing abundant works or results: a prolific artist.

"Prolific" is easy. "Good" is not.

Scott Adelmann-I imagine he was trying to come across as someone who is delusional and therefore explains away why not too many people comment based on the fact that his work is so incredibly good that they can't think of what to write. I thought it was funny, it's right up my alley as far as humor.

To the original poster, commenting on others poems and continuing to hone your craft is the way to go. Meet friends, set goals and work on your art. (For me I'm trying to get 100 applause on a humorous poem which for me is an accomplishment since humor tends to get overlooked by many on this site. I'm at 77 on one of them so hopefully I'll get there sooner or later.)
    • I just pretend I see my work echoed in uncrditted responses
  • dont feel bad sweet jane. I feel like there is a giant sign on my page when you go to it that tells people" no! wrong place! turn back! there's nothing here to see"

I think it's the fact that some writers are deeply intellectual and that scares the human who has been conditioned by modern society.

I like that all of you have had your 2 cents, and still none of you even cared to look at my page or comment on any of my works.
