Are we only allowed to "reward" one poem at a time? I pur a reward on my most recent poem, then tried to "reward" a couple more, and each time it just put more "reward"s on the first one, the most recent. So, now instead of having two rewards on each of 3 poems, I have 6 rewards on one .. (I know how to refund rewards, that's not the problem, just didn't know if this was a bug or not)

It's a bug that hits from time to time. Try refreshing the page between adding rewards, or going to the poem itself to reward. It's only happened to me once, though, and I think I refreshed between rewards.
