My suggestion is how about a writer's reference site. With a thesaurs and other reference tools like a dictionary and encyclopedia and then members could include their writing columns and such.
Just a thought, don't know if that would be a good idea or not, but there you go -
I honestly don't know if I would visit it if there was. I mainly only stick to AP as it is. Though, I visit & like storywrite. I use the web for such things & like it like that.

How about using real reference texts? I thought "writers" would appreciate their value.

I agree, real reference text, posted on the site, I was thinking like Old Poetry, Reference texts on the site and then member columns as well, from those of our members who are teachers, and especially those of us who are AP teachers. Just a thought. I usually go to sites like Dictionary.com, just thought it would be cool to have a sister site where we could have an author page to like say link to our favorite resources like on Old Poetry.

Would there not be a copyright problem?

I am not sure. I haven't mapped it all out, just had a thought and wanted some feedback on it.
But I think it can be done without copyright being an issue. -

Well, I gave you some. Would there be a punctuation section to refer to if one had apostrophe problems or was unsue about comma splicing?

"Comma splicing".
We all live for your words, Calanthe.

I like this idea. Seems like there might be some more planning to do, but I think it'll be great once everything is all worked out.
