I've been posting my work on some internet poetry compositions. They have monetary prizes. My friend told me, maybe they are scams or viruses, what do you think?

I would be more concerned about viruses than a scam. are the entry fees high? does it sound pretty legit? who really knows. I have entered many a contest won nada.

Poetry.com and its offshoots are scams. I tend to go for names I've heard before, or with smaller prizes. The way I see it, it's a little suspicious if an unknown press has all this money to burn in a contest, all of a sudden!

Are there any other poetry scams out there that you know of besides Poetry.com?
