Envelope on September 10, 2007we tossed thoughtful sobriquets
between the half-hanging formality
of our nature
Adding no extra rattles or cowbells
acquiescing to my own resolve
I smiled at the nods and vice-versa
but there were always moments
that held the affirmation of a dream
distant and frail
but lying in a cushion of divinity
nonetheless
A dream of westward possibilities
and a reality called home.
