BerylShow poetry

I'm foremost, a somewhat happy mother of three beautiful, yet some what tiring, children, aged 10, 2 and 1 and I am looking to release my suppressed, inner creativity through this impressive site.
I love poetry and philosophy, history and religious theory. And I welcome any contributing comments to my poetry attemps.

I have written a lot of poems starting at the age of about 13, (some even earlier) but have never released my thoughts to public critisism before, so I'm (anxiously) looking forward to any feedback.

I try to love life and appreciate my blessings but at the same time I try to deal with the daily grind of today's societies' somewhat ignorance to matters of the soul. I try to combat these feelings with expessions of the soul through the freedom of poetry. Overall I hope that readers will enjoy my poems and maybe find some links within their own stories amd life's experiences.

My favourite quote is, "Love is a River, with Waters Unknown; the Wound is Deep but the River is Wide," Anon.

Please enjoy my poems and do not judge, add a comment or improvement if you like and I'll try to return the favour.

My philosophy on life is quite from experience, ( as no doubt so is your own) I believe this life is a trial for what lies beyond, and the closer you get to unearthing some of its realities the harsher the tests and heartaches may become. I believe in consequences and signs, friendships born of nothing and unforgetable moments caught in time.

A simple equation: Knowledge > Wisdom > Truth > Faith = Love.

I, at times, feel as though I have known more friends who are no longer here, than those who are alive, this is bluntly, mostly because of substance abuse and suicide, (or modern-day genicide, brought upon by a selfish society so concentrated on and judge by wealth and social standing). So yes, many of my pieces reflect these times and trials of the neglected human soul.
"The ones who were not born to be forgotton"
People who, to me indeed, existed beyond their material achievements and mental illness labels, real people caught up in an unreal world of fake religions and reconciliations.

So reality aside - I also believe in, and like to write about cosmic love, nature worship and I once owned an imaginary white horse called 'Star', So G'day from down under and I hope you like my work!
