I've been writing since I was a child. Through the years my style has changed, and I think for the better. I quite imagine that my style will continue to change as I do with age and experience.
I live in "Smalltown" Ohio, and am a single parent of two. They keep me busy, they make me laugh, and sometimes they do frustrate me. At the same time they inspire me - not only to write, but to see the world from their fresh perspectives. Yes, I am a proud parent.
Poets I love: Dorothy Parker, Emily Dickinson, Sylvia Plath, Anne Sexton, T.S. Eliot, E.E. Cummings - just to name a few. I've always loved the poem "The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock" since highschool, when my literature teacher introduced it to me.
My motto comes from E.E. Cummings poem "pity this busy monster, manunkind
pity this busy monster, manunkind,
not. Progress is a comfortable disease:
your victim (death and life safely beyond)
plays with the bigness of his littleness
-electrons defy one razorblade
into a mountainrange; lenses extend
unwish though curving wherewhen till unwish
returns on its unself.
A world of made
is not a world of born - pity poor flesh
and trees, poor stars and stones, but never this
fine specimen of hypermagical
ultraomnipotence. We doctors know
a hopeless case if - listen: there's a hell
of a good universe next door; let's go
Written in the 1940's but still so apt to today's society.
I love music - I have eclectic tastes - give me anything music - except country!
Reading has always been a staple pastime in my life. Robert Crais, Patricia Cornwell, Kathy Reichs, Anne Tyler and James Patterson are some of my favorites.
Anyway...enough about me, and on with the poetry.

Tercarro : I read your work on May 8, 2007I read her poetry and work in the same industry so I know that she has the answers for us all to have a better life. Her poetry is deep and her vision for us all is clear yet all the while she knows that without struggle we cannot hope to make it. I would to spend an hour reading her thoughts and listening to her reason.
Love it all

Catressa on November 10, 2005Ah a woman after my own heart.. I adore Patricia Cornwell granted I did wonder if she had lost it for a minute with Southern Cross and one other book but hey.. She is still a wonderful read.. Have you ever checked out James Patterson? He wrote the Book Kiss the Girls based off a movie.. Awesome Write as well as Jonathon Kellerman.. Big reader here.. My nighttime savior..
Take Care, Catressa -
