my name is caroline and i live in jefferson hills pennsylvania. i am 18 years old and i have been writing poetry for 5 years. i am currently a senior in highschool . i will be attending college(for massage and business)in either october or january depending on whether or not my mother decides to move for a twelth time since ive been born. i was diagnosed with a blood disease in august and went through a deep depression mode. a few weeks ago i met my father for the first time in 15 years. it was very awkward and weird. when i was younger my mother's boyfriends use to beat me. i have since then swore never to let a man lay a hand on me. i am bisexual AND i am also the most non-rasist non-homophobic anti-abortionist in the world. if you hate black people or gays or you think it is ok to have an abortion stay the hell away from me!
my mottos in life are :
not to judge a a person until you know them...people who look like freaks on the outside are the most real people you will ever meet
if you dnt like me that is your problem...just stay the hell away from me
music is the way to your soul...listen closely and you will hear your inner voice speak to you
your best friends are the people who won't make you lie to them
family is the most important thing in your life...no matter what happens they will always be there for you
these are just key peices of advice and i swear to you that they are true. life isn't something to waste judging people. look deep inside yourself and think about what you want in life and just go for it. no matter what happens keep moving forward and never look behind at the past.
love with all your heart. if it breaks dnt worry time will heal it.
strive with all your might. you never want to think what if you did this or that.
follow your heart and you will never get lost.
you all rock and without this site i dont know what i would do. if you ever need a friend i will be here. if you ever have a problem you can confide in me.

I agree entirely with your views on racism & homophobia. I'm sorry for the experience you had as a kid thanks to your mums b/f's but you can't class all men as evil, most are bastards.

I am strongly against abortion too, you can read a poem I wrote about it if you like. It's called sudden reality (I think).

altatok : Hey, so... on April 6, 2008I don't want to make trouble. And I think it's cool that you have conviction in your beliefs... But personally I think that shouting via the internet that people who have abortions are murderers is a bit much, and has the potential to cause a lot of hurt to women who maybe had to make a hard decision, and maybe just want to write and read a little poetry, and maybe did the right thing considering that you have no idea what the circumstances surrounding the abortion might have been. Maybe it's that or watch them starve to death. Maybe it's that or put them in an overfull adoption system and just pray that they get a decent home. Maybe it's that or rase the child of a rapist. Write a poem about it if you want, write five, write ten, write a hundred poems about how wrong you think abortion is. That's great... But is this really the place for that sort of charged statement outside of the context of your art?
I'm not really out to change your mind. It's your right to think what you want, whether or not I agree. I just think maybe there are better forums for those statements when they aren't attached to poetry.
