I am Native American descent Ojibwa/Chippewa. I have been writing for at least 30 to 35 years mostly poetry. Poetry has been a therapuetic outlet one I indulge in on a daily basis. Poetry writing has helped to eaze many moments of emotional pain I have experienced. Many of my poems are dark, yet spiritual. Many of my poems describe the dark side we as humans possess. I have come to honor that side of myself through my poems.
I am a writer, an artist, I love acrylic paints and I do medicine shields on turtle shells as a way I honor my Native american heritage. I also am an herbalist making home made herbal bath sea salts and essential oils using herbal rememdies to cure, all my herbs I use are grown in my own garden. I also make Native American jewelry.
I one day would love to have my book of poems published and I am doing research to follow this sought after dream. Today, I am revising and editing all my poems to pursue this dream.
I am a single divorcee I have a 36 year old son as well as a 26 year old son and an adoptive daughter who is 18 years old. I am now a proud grand mother to 11 grand children.
I am a Case Manager, Professional Family Specialist when I am not writing I am in the field working with clients who are desparately in of intervention. Our agency's mission is reunification of children to their parents once they have successfully completed treatment. As a Family Specialist I provide intensified in home base services for the Department of Human Services.
