"If you love Shakesphear or Edgar Allen Poe or Elizabeth Barring I recommend you read it. A journal entry from a discriptive deep teenage woman spoken slightly old but remains current english"

"Your poems are very profound. There is something refined and focused about your words" -Jake Hiser

"egad!, as the great bard once said: very piquant!..i felt rather ebulient upon reading these dithyrambs..love it all.." -Unknown   Aurielle has written over 400 poems and stories since 15 years old. She has managed to keep over 200 of them in her book known as "The Sweetest Voice." Yes, her poems are covered with passion, grace, humbleness, virtue, personality, love, heartache. It is full of every genre especially gospel being brought as a relighouis christian. "It is God who gave me this talent so it is he who derves the praise" she says. The oldest of four, she does think of her self as the mother though knowone acts like she is but she knows she is the wisest with the highest goals. She is a women of thoughts and imagery. A nineteen year old american with jamaican parents, she only reads oldpoetry such as Shakesphear, Edgar Allen Poe, and Elizabeth Barring, who she has been compared to since the age of 15. Though it was hard for her to write being in a household of "school and that's it" she managed the time to sit alone and write. When she could not because it was not permit during school days, she would write it in her room. Her work from the begining reads like a journal. From page to page you can see how she became skillful as her style showforth. She uses all divices: personification, metaphors, similies, imagery, voice yet with a little different style. She mixes reality spoken english with old english. Any age can understand her. Her poem is not only memorizeable masterpeices but it's drama-like spoken where one who speaks it often feel as if he or she is in a little play whereever you are whether its in your bedroom or at school. She teaches sometimes about life: the pain and happiness. She is indeed wise as she gathers everything and turns it to poetry. The poems do involve alot of beaty for each poem presents itself as a speacial painting to be bookmarked to be read over again. She has many other book she is working on such as "New Light" and "Land of Poetry" She has also written a few plays such "Gift of roses" which is her favorite. "My masterpeice play" she calls it. Moreover other then she enjoys painting,  fashion designing, modeling, going to church and choreographing. You never know what ideas is in her head. Her mind is thought as a world of feilds.

My style: The way I write is graceful but powerful and the imagery is a unique masterpiece. I have been compared to Emily Dickson and Shakespeare in its classical sense. I sometimes write powerful just like Shakespeare when I am trying to present an angry mood or graceful like Emily Dickson when I'm trying to present a happy, faithful or content mood. When I was younger I would love the comparison. Still I would say each have still conveyed that I have my own voice in that is more updated and the way its written is very unique.

Back cover: Aurielle's poem held a great amount grace, passion, flow, voice, imagery, and unique metaphors. She always ends her poem with a sigh of thoughts... Setted within the century of Shakespeare, where such legend poets had grazed, she writes classical. Upon her windowsill, she lays her hair tis gentle and writes. She writes of love, peace, hate and stress. She indeed speaks from her soul and mind which many can not. Such words she creates upon lines as Romeo somewhere listens... She is influenced by Shakespeare,(same birth) Elizabeth Barring, Emily Dickson, Edgar Allen Poe, and Robert. Catch her daydreaming upon her pen as it paints such beauty

and though she is only 18...

"I love to read old-poetry because that is where poetry because as we know and I also like to paint influenced by classical paintings...

    The earth is sighing
faith is tumbling over a few of these hills
still in this planet where fear and shyness wont leave

    Merry Christmas!!!
  • csmmoms2 on August 19, 2009
I remember reading the first of you and it cut me to the bone. It was like my words my story. "She's so young can't even have been there yet." But the words were stairin' me in the face. Really stunning!
Here's Shakespear act 1 scene V it's my fav from Romeo and Juliet.

Let hands do what lips do

    ROMEO
[To JULIET] If I profane with my unworthiest hand
This holy shrine, the gentle fine is this:
My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand
To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss.
    JULIET
Good pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too much,
    Which mannerly devotion shows in this;
For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch,
And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss.
    ROMEO
Have not saints lips, and holy palmers too?
    JULIET
Ay, pilgrim, lips that they must use in prayer.
    ROMEO
    O, then, dear saint, let lips do what hands do;
They pray, grant thou, lest faith turn to despair.
    JULIET
Saints do not move, though grant for prayers' sake.
    ROMEO
Then move not, while my prayer's effect I take.
Thus from my lips, by yours, my sin is purged.
    JULIET
Then have my lips the sin that they have took.
    ROMEO
Sin from thy lips? O trespass sweetly urged!
    Give me my sin again.
    JULIET
    You kiss by the book.

Black cherry moon so heavenly bright

It's no wonder you're a star your presence

    So vibrant so amazingly sculpted

A master piece of untold wonders

With un-foretold powers that lay dormant

To the unforeseen eye if ever a glimpse of your treasures

were embraced there would be an overwhelming

Sense of self worth within but with the gifts you so
naturally Inherit but almost always taken for granted

You are that very fine balance in life from which

Human nature seems to thrive upon to nurture the

Mind body & soul this is a tribute to my Nubian
black woman I applaud never asking for to much in return
