I am: female, a Sagittarius, dreaming, melancholy, in love, dressing up, smart, arrogant, singing, passionate, odd, dancing, petite, withdrawn, traveling, opinionated, musical, staying up late, a brunette, a girlfriend, playing cards, hungry, the owner of small hands, drinking coffee, artsy, taking pictures, intense, sophisticated, writing, not real.
"But she was suffocated by the roses that no one else saw - only their shadows showed on her lips and around her eyes."
"My heart is a teacup with hairline cracks. I feel like I have to walk real carefully so it won't get shaken and just all shatter and break."
"I wish I wasn't a girl who needed so much but a little free creature that slept in deserts and ran on clouds and lived on lilies."
- Francesca Lia Block
"I don't do anything with my life but romanticize and decay with indecision."
"O America what saints given vision are shrouded in junk their elegy a nameless hoodlum elegance leaning against death’s military garage."
- Allen Ginsberg

and the stop signs at the top of the 5 mph gravel switchbacks
warp and melt into oil paint puddles that splash -
Clouds are fat laughing buddhas rolling in blue
and the world is a glum grey movie except -
of getting married in a beaded ball gown, in bare
feet edging through cold sand, between the kelp washed up on shore -
We listen to sweet tenor crooning as we drive along two-lane highways;
liquor stores and gas stations, covered with decades of dust.

anithradia on March 18, 2005I know there are a few I haven't gotten to yet, I just finished critiquing today, and I just got online to type them up. (Good timing, right?)

y la rivera on March 18, 2005hey you didn't even make the slightest comment on my poem in your critiques contest, eyt you give out awards to simple poems, well the xylophone which was good, but man, you said you'd comment on all of them, i think for you not doing your job correctly you ought to go and read all my poems.

anithradia on February 27, 2005I haven't actually written anything technically for a contest, I have this whole backload of them and just whip one out when there's a contest -- I figure that's the only way I'll get much feedback, since the one time I did do Shameless I didn't get any critiques (of course, AP isn't too strong in the constructive criticism department in the first place). So yeah. I'm a contest lady.
