In visions of the dark night

My name is KC, I'm 17 years old. I'm really going through a rough time in my life. I keep saying to myself... "Just one more year, and I'll be gone." Poetry is pretty much my filter... When I just need to get away but can't, I can always turn to poetry as an outlet. I'll write about anything. My feelings, thoughts, or random creative ideas I have now and then.
I really appreciate people who have the ability to make me smile when I'm feeling down (which, as of late, has been all the time). Any random conversation is good enough for me. I've lost a lot of my friends in the last year for no good reason. We've all just drifted apart. I've tried to make it better, but I just keep on failing... Instead of worrying about my present I try to focus on my future.
I'm an aspiring filmmaker. I've been involved in television and film for almost 5 years now. I plan on going to Western Kentucky University and majoring in Broadcasting and Business or Communications. I can't wait to begin my career and jump right into the world. It excites me to no end.
If you've managed to read all this trash, sorry. I don't usually rant like this. But then again, thanks for listening.
P.S. Three of my favorite words are definitely "betwixt," "plethora" and "effervescent."

UrCUDDLEbuddy : hello! on October 20I just read your intro on your page and it made me sad:[ But I def. know how you feel. I'm in that exact same situation with friends now-a-days. And I think it's awesome you find writing helps you. I think that's a true blessing from poetry-it can allieviate so much worry and pain just by writing/reading/or experiencing it. Sorry for being so bold! haha! And now I think I shall look up that word-betwixt- because I have no idea what it means haha! But it sounds interesting!
ps-you're an aspiring filmaker? that's pretty awesome! If you ever need an actress, I'd totally audition for one of your parts haha
