Hi! My name is Linda, I am a mother of four, and a grandmother of one ( so far ) I'm 43 years young, and have a lot of interest that I try to pursue, poetry being one of them. My style is really quite eclectic, I've delved into different forms, and have found so much joy in doing do. My favorite subjects are emotions, politics, and Spirituality. I find poetry to be very healing, creative, and joyful. I have met many amazing people here on AP, who have taught me a lot about, not only poetry, but life in general!

I enjoy having my real life and my online friends and family here on AP. Please have a look at their pages, they are very talented!

My sister Pennye, strong, loving, compassionate, and giving. I told her about AP a few months ago, and boy oh boy has she ever taken it and made it a place where she can share the wonderful spirit she is. So here i Introduce you to my beautiful sister hoodoolover

My daughter Leah, who lives in New Zealand, she is so amazing, beautiful, funny, and just such a wonderful soul. She joined AP and has yet to put up any poetry but hopefully will soon. Leah, who i gave up for adoption 22 years ago, came back into my life when she was nineteen, and we are building a solid relationship. I am truly blessed that she was raised by her wonderful mom Elayne.

This list is growing everday.

This is an excerpt from a sermon that Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. gave way back in the 60's about loving your enemy. I find this a very eloquent sermon and one that most of us could really benefit from reading.

"So somehow the "isness" of our present nature is out of harmony with the eternal "oughtness" that forever confronts us. And this simply means this: That within the best of us, there is some evil, and within the worst of us, there is some good. When we come to see this, we take a different attitude toward individuals. The person who hates you most has some good in him; even the nation that hates you most has some good in it; even the race that hates you most has some good in it. And when you come to the point that you look in the face of every man and see deep down within him what religion calls "the image of God," you begin to love him in spite of. No matter what he does, you see God’s image there. There is an element of goodness that he can never sluff off. Discover the element of good in your enemy. And as you seek to hate him, find the center of goodness and place your attention there and you will take a new attitude."  Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Have a Blessed day and thanks for stopping in!
