A Little About Me

My name is Andrew Houtman. I live in the Mid Hudson Valley region of New York with my beautiful wife.
For 27 years I have worked as a developmental aide for the state of New York. It is at times extremely challenging work, but can be very rewarding. I love to laugh, love, and play.
In my spare time, I am a songwriter, and am getting more and more into poetry.


What I Believe

I am an agnostic. I do believe there is something greater than us, I just don't believe any of us truly know who, or what that is.
I believe that if people realized that the major religions of the world have many of the same core beliefs, then the world community would have a much greater chance of coming together, instead of constantly being pulled apart.
I believe that without Hope, there is no Light.
I believe without Faith, there is no Strength.
I believe that without Understanding, there is no hope of Forgiveness
I believe that without Forgiveness, there is no chance for peace, on any level.
I believe that without Love, there is nothing of value.
