I am tired, I need to rest...

the mountain ahead of me is steep...

I must climb it alone...

Dreams rise as sunset falls...

His light will be the moon, his path will be the ocean,

I will wait until the time is right, and he will come to me...

To unpathed waters, undreamed shores.
William Shakepeare

"When summer opens, I see how fast it matures, and fear it will be short; but after the heats of
July and August, I am reconciled, like one who has had his swing, to the cool of autumn."
-   Ralph Waldo Emerson

For my fishing buddies...

When high the Sun in noonday glory rides,
Where willows keep the lake’s green margin cool,
The speckled trout amid their shadow hides,
And dragonflies haunt every shaded pool.

–Thomas S. Collier (1842–93)

Once the curtain is raised, the actor is ceases to belong to himself. He belongs to his character, to his author, to his public. He must do the impossible to identify himself with the first, not to betray the second, and not to disappoint the third.
Sarah Bernhardt

I feel like a natural woman. I am a goddess that reflects the mystique and magnetism of women, rising above all boundaries. 'This too shall pass.' Shining brightly, I will overcome empty promises in the dark and dangerous liaisons.

       Mind Of A Poet...

A poets thoughts are filled with imagery

rhyme is everywhere you see

it's in all nature that surrounds you

in loving hearts and in mystery

If you look at the sights above you

the moon the stars the sky

You write a rhyme of the universe

and explain why birds can fly

You will watch the sun rise in the morning

and the antics of how people work and play

By the time the sun sets in the evening

you've absorbed the beauty of the day

You lie in bed at night unable to sleep

your mind is creating more rhyme

Of the angels the fairies and the mystical

you write about when you have time

Your mind is always active

If only you had the alloted time

There isn't anything you wouldn't write about

and explain it all in verse and rhyme

You like to write of many things

and a special love you know

Telling what your heart is feeling

the devoted pen writes and the ink will flow

a chameleon by nature i am

my personality changes with circumstance

rapidly i adapt to any situation immediately

camouflaging myself if disinterested in current situations

a matriarch to my family always available

an imaginative and visionary partner to my soul-mate

project a grambo image in emergencies

i exercise skills of fast response and improvise as needed

a proud individual using charm and tact as required

i am compassionate and empathetic to the less fortunate

consider myself a loner an swashbuckling adventurer

my motto is the golden rule

if any or all of these traits fail

i can be humble

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, thank You for the blessing of meekness. I choose today to be a person of self-control. Help me to know when to speak and when to listen, when to respond and when to hold back, so that I can honor You all the days of my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Solitude has but one disadvantage; it is apt to give one too high an opinion of one's self. In the world we are sure to be often reminded of every known or supposed defect we may have. -Lord Byron, poet (1788-1824)

Magic Carpet Navigator...
I want to fly my magic carpet, above the clouds and through the stars, visiting the planets and checking out mars
floating on rays of silent beams, fulfilling my fantasies and wildest dreams
looking for a soulmate, to hold my hand, cuddling and loving me on my demand
bring him back to earth and behave quite bold, treat him like a King until we both grow old

A dream-poet : Happy Birthday, dear Mussie... on May 30

TO A GOLDEN LEAF.

In a loved way, are golden leaves impressed
To a sweet generosity of my thoughts inspired
That each dear gilded leaf is a year progressed
And no stretch of time has you the less desired

Are you a beloved, from Gemini’s tree divine
That dream leaves are swayed to colour my sun
And will I fall for you, that our leaves entwine
In know, my heart, that another year has begun

Drift into my dreams, dear golden floating leaf
I hold you to a know of love’s comprehending
For an all happy birthday, is love beyond belief
This sweet poet’s write has an all happy ending

What is love, if not joy to a year’s happy know
In a joy of sweet reflection, in golden leaf’s glow

Happy Birthday to you, dear Mussie...
Ron.

The Illusion Is Fire

 A golden eagle again appeared

within the illusion of the spirited fire

spreading it's wings to full elation

as the ashes of the pyre expired

rising high into the heavens

as the resurrection became known

fanning the flame of a former death

the remains of the past were blown

beauty the site of the Phoenix in flight

an illusion that now becomes clear

golden is the light reflected at night

as the spirit of the motives are near
