I believe you are what you think of yourself and not what others think of you.I recently became a published poet in a collection of poems entitled "Portraits From A Palaver."Its the greatest thing for my poetry coz I've always wanted to be published.Hope you all achieve what you set your heart to.Cheerz!

This is a wonderful place to share your writing with others, and to enjoy the vast variety of poetry posted here by those who share in your love of poetic expression. You can post poetry and get feedback from writers all over the world as well as read and comment on others work. The more poems you read and leave a comment on, the more your name will be seen and people will want to read your work. This is an interactive community, which means you need to comment on 4 poems for every 1 you post. The
link will give you more knowledge about the site. Moderators are highlighted in blue and Site Greeters are in green. You can ask any of us for help if you have questions that are not answered by reading the help page.
At the top of the screen, along the same line as the Help link, you will notice a Contests link. There you can explore many different challenges that will help to inspire your creative talent. Each month the Site Greeters host a challenge just for newbies like yourself. The first link will take you to this month’s contest. The second link is a column that describes contests and how they are judged.

If you write stories, you can post them at Storywrite and if you enjoy reading the inspiring poets of olde, you can give Oldpoetry a peek and if Philosophy is your thing, you might enjoy romping around in the boards at Allphilosophy.
As a note of appreciation from the site all new members are given a free four-day trial preferred membership. This allows you to post pictures with your poems and on your author page. Once the membership has expired, you will no longer be able to add pictures or enjoy the other benefits of being a member unless you start a membership for yourself. Although a membership is not required in order to post poems or comment, it does make the AP experience a bit more exciting. Further details are in the Store link at the top of the page.
