I have been writing poetry since I was about 16 or 17 yrs, when I first found love and of course lost love. I found it was an easy way to express my innermost thoughts and feelings, and cheaper than seeing a shrink. lol. I have found this site has made me feel more confident in my writing and has given me a sense of freedom with it. Not too many people in my life know I even write. I feel the freedom to release all that I truly do feel here and go to places sometimes where maybe people in my everyday life wouldn't really quiet understand and more than likely judge. Or maybe it's having them see the real me ?? hmmm.
I am more into writing about my own personal journey and experiences.
I find too that this site is very inspirational, not only for writing but also for teaching me to really take steps back to see my journey in a different view. I learn also to be grateful and to appreciate the differences we all do have.
