Always max your bet!!! Yes, I live in Vegas and work in the gaming industry. At least until I can afford to live somewhere else. Don't you love Brooklyn in the winter?
Actually, I've moved around a bit. Texas, Seaside , Tokyo, Pennsylvania, Littleton(heartbreak) , Denver (I lived in a convent and met God) , Anaheim (homeless) , Fullerton, San Diego and Coronado. London is my dream city, but Belfast will haunt me forever.
My first love is fiction, especially mystery and suspense. I write for children when I can get my internal munchkins to cooperate. Usually they're too busy healing from all the crapola they've been put through.
My favorite author is Phillip Depoy, although Ellis Peters runs a close second. I also enjoy Jonathan Kellerman, Tony Hillerman (sniff, sniff) and Ian Rankin. The original Winnie the Pooh rocks but the Disney version is an abomination. Scooby is the Alpha Dog.
By the way, the mayor of Las Vegas is a total goober.
Poetry terrifies me. I think it's the same mathematical thing that kept me from learning how to read music.
Luckily I have a wonderful internal poet named Adam. Being male, he doesn't have any math willies. He is smart, funny, handsome and gifted. We are learning together.

Hi, there, fellow Rhyme and Meter Workshop group member! Why do I not see a poem of yours in our group reading list? *sigh* I suppose I shall just have to go read that limerick I just saw in your poems list.

Thanks for stopping in to let me know you liked one of my humorous pieces. There are more where that came from.
