| from a desolate paradise | |
| silver-encrusted children awaken, | |
| spawned by their lustrous mother | |
| they grieve in black-tinted tears. | |
| longing for an escape from restriction | |
| now-adolescent glitter dances around darkness | |
| attention starved, they shine brighter hoping to be seen | |
| but their fragile beams melt into a universe full of faces. | |
| anticipating to be noticed their glossy exterior dims with passage of time | |
| previous sun's reflection ages to a mere bleached glow | |
| the weaken determination to blaze the sky is apparent | |
| still cosmic smiles give way to nature's solemn hourglass. | |
| their light diminishes has everyone does in due time | |
| self combusting in to thin air, they wish for the next to be beloved unlike them |
