A-crimson-wasteShow poetry

UPDATED: Aug 30th, 2005.

I haven't put much of anything new on here for a while as I've been working on revising my novel.  However, feel free to poke around and comment if you wish.  Hopefully you can find something you'll enjoy.

As for a bio of me...

I go by Crimson.  The origin of Crimson is partially due to my desire to portray what I am as well as possible.  The color crimson soothes and comforts me; my eyes are always drawn to reds whatever I'm doing or wherever I am.  Reds, or more importantly, dark reds, have a tendency to bring out my creativity in thought, writing, etc.  My poem 'Crimson Dark' is a tangent of this mindset, but not completely cemented into the philosophy.

The first things I ever wrote were what I had hoped would become novels.  After a time I abandoned this style because I lacked the skills at the time to do it right.  Then I turned to poetry to flex my imagination and play with words.  Thus, my current novel writing is very poetic in nature, which I enjoy incorporating.

While in college I finished my first novel which at the time was entitled, "And Angels Fall."  Since then I've queried and submitted to a few publishers, revising a little as I went along, getting closer to publication with every failure.  Currently, I am revising the ENTIRE novel.  To my great satisfaction, I believe I've grown in skill to a degree high enough that I think this may be the one to get me into the market.  However, fail as I may despite my current efforts, I keep only the desire to continue expanding my skill, create a great story, and publish or no, I will continue writing until the day I die.

I think my novel fits best in the semi-popular "magical realism" genre - that being a fantasy story based within the 'real' world.

At the moment I participate in the "Novel Ideas" group and the "Aspiring Novelists" group.

Happy writing,
-Crimson-

Yes, thanks for asking . It was, however another rejection. But at least I got closer than last time (they asked for the whole thing)...I guess the rest of the book didn't weigh up to the first three chapters..hence, I am rewriting the whole thing. But it's okay, really, things are coming out soooo much better this time around
