My name is Jamila Yadira and you have reached my domain, mi casa, mi hogar...I am a black Panamanian American woman. My culture is rich and very diverse. I am West Indian, Jamaican, English, Scottish and Irish. I am fluent in English and in Spanish as well. I also am able to grasp some Italian as well as a little French.  I was raised by my grandparents Joseph A. Foster and Gloria E. Foster. They were the best parents in the world. They have both since died and I can honestly say that through them and because of them I have known true love. I know what it looks like and I know what it is supposed to be.

 

As to what I do the answer is simple...I am a caregiver. I work hard, I always have. I make no excuses for what I do or for who I am. I am a woman on a mission however. Someone who refuses to sell herself short. I will not barter my soul or compromise my code of ethics to please anyone. And so for this I can honestly say that I am happy with me.

 

 

 

I consider this place to be my little corner of sanity, a place where I come to just emote and to just place my hand prints on destiny. I have finally arrived. And right here in this place I know that I can be as honest as I wish to be. For the only thing that matters here is that I am being truthful to my number one lover, caretaker, protector and friend, that special one is me.

 

 

I have chosen a career in nursing. It has been a dream of mine to become a nurse for a very long time. Ever since I first glimpsed Bobby Spencer on GH many years ago. I will be continuing my studies presently. I aim to reach the top of my field. I know that I will make it. There is so much that I wish to say about the path that I have chosen, but I shall allow my actions to speak even louder for me.

 

My interests vary and are many. I have learned through time and experience that being indecisive only leads to failure and disappointment. Action in conjunction with intent must work in unison to bring forth the desired result.

 

 

 

It is very important in my opinion to state that I am proud of everything that I have written on this site over the past three years. We live in a society where self expression is not always viewed upon in a favorable light. But one thing is for sure, personally speaking of course...I will speak my heart and piece whenever the feeling hits me. I have lived in silence for far too long...I have tasted freedom now and I refuse to go back to being just an observor in this thing we call life!

 

 

 

 

 I am a woman who refuses to put her life in the hands of anyone, to let someone else choose for me. I make my decisions based on my knowledge and whatever it is that I am feeling at any given moment, no one can exert these rights but yours truly. I will not allow past faux pas to color my views on the present tense. It is up to me to play this game however I see fit.  I will rise to the occassion each and every time I deem it as necessary. I am my own paladin, need I say more? Why not?

 

I am a strong woman, even better yet a willful person. I am quite stubborn and I make no apologies for this. I view my poetry as a means to deal with pain and life's little idiosyncrasies. Life has not always been kind. But I dare say that in the end it is what you make of it. I am not one to be subservient, needy or just plain defeatist. Hardships build character and I can say that I have grown quite a lot. I have learned to trust my instincts and to do whatever I believe to be right and just.

 

I can honestly say though that I loved somebody once, so very much, with all my heart. And there is nothing that can take that awareness away from me. I am open, my heart is whole and because of this I will love again. And this time it will be Incredible...it will fucking great!

 

 

 

In the end I will be an accomplished human being, wife,  mother, lover and friend. I am what I was always meant to be. I am simply a Woman to Love.

 

 

 

 

I have been given an indian name by my wonderful friend Tender Wolf and it is 'Small Cloud'. Thank you much my friend, I love it!

 

 

 

 

 

OK so there are many things I love and enjoy. I love good music, champagne, babies, baby powder, white cake with butter cream frosting and rum custard filling, I love a beautiful home, fresh flowers, incense, candles, a wonderful fresh smelling home, beautiful things, I also love to read, I love decorating, baking, cooking (when I feel like it of course) interesting intellectual conversations, I love my sister's three cats Abel, Sienna and Mya...my babies I also love Bella, Joy and George (two dogs and a cat) mayonnaise on rice, chicken alfredo, west indian food, along with my Panamanian food, I love adventure, traveling, and just knowing that I am here, young, healthy and alive...I love life!!!

 

 

 

P.S. Oh yes and while I am at it,  let me just say that I absolutely abhorr caviar. In my opinion, it is the most vilest creation known to man, this along with  pollution, guns, stupid people and George W. Bush of course. Just simply reduntant.
