 I grieve for you, O Mary most sorrowful, in the wounding of your compassionate heart, when the side of Jesus was struck by the lance before His Body was removed from the cross. Dear Mother, by your heart thus transfixed, obtain for me the virtue of fraternal charity and the gift of understanding.

 Je m'appelle Zach. J'ai 19 ans et j'habite en Californie.
 
Yes, that is French, my third language after English and German. I would love to learn Spanish, Greek, Hebrew, Italian, and Sindarin as well, but there aren't enough hours in the day! I am currently a theatre major at Fullerton College, but I plan on studying English, Music Theory, and Theology. I plan on earning a Ph.D., Psy.D., and a D.D. one day. (I must admit, I would love to teach in a high school as Dr. Payne ).
 
I have been writing poetry for, God, I don't know, five or six years now, ever since I was in the eighth grade. What started as a catharsis for repressed memories turned into my career. I've self-published five books of poetry, one for each year of high school, and one for the summer afterward. Check out the link at the top of the page .
 
I am a Christian, and I am very proud of who I am. This means that I strive to live in harmony with all. I am quite the fundamentalist, but I am very accepting of others, even if I am staunchly against what they believe. Don't mistake my dislike of ideas for dislike of people. We are all sinners, and no sin is worse than any others.
 
I have survived a number of suicide attempts, and have struggled some with self injury, and I am always open to talk and help, whenever and wherever I am needed. Please do not hesitate to leave a message. 
 
I am a member of several groups on AllPoetry, as witnessed by my tags below. I am an administrator/officer of Winklings/Andante, and am active in several of their subgroups. I consider this a true honor because I am one of the youngest members of this group; which consists mainly of older adults.

 ZachP. is passionate about what he believes.

He is well spoken, and writes in at least 2 languages.

He paints with words and communicates using art and design as his "pen" as well.

He is a loyal friend and is an active participant in several groups;

willing to extend himself and help judge a contest or lend a hand when needed.

Zach is my AP nephew, and I am proud as punch to be his AP aunt.


Zach, in my opinion, is a vital member of the AP community.

 It is certainly not easy to suffer torments like the Martyrs and to receive finally the death-dealing blow of the sword. But is it not also a martyrdom to suffer for years the pains of a lingering illness? Again, how difficult the combat with the world, the flesh, and the powers of Hell! How carefully must we watch and pray to gain the victory! This is our martyrdom. Let us imitate the example of the holy Martyrs in bearing the trials and sufferings of life, and we shall receive, as they did, the crown of Heaven.
 
In the name of the Father,
the Son, and the Holy Spirit;
I dedicate this page in Loving Memory
to the Victims of the Columbine High School tragedy,
and their families who suffered so needlessly;
especially to the two young ladies,
Rachel Joy Scott and Cassie Rene Bernall,
martyrs of the Faith, sisters in Christ.
