Hi, and welcome to my site, I hope you have a great time while you're here. I have always loved writing, but never thought I was good enough. Until a friend convinced me that I was, so I decided to join. I love sharing my poetry with anyone who will read it and maybe see the point I'm making or feel the emotions of the poem. I hope that while I'm here, I can grow as a writer and learn new techniques.

This is a poem just for me
Cast of thousands
The cheers subside, the patrons leave
The curtains finally fall
The cast retreats to their shelters
The lights finally dim
However all is not right
There is a lone performer left in the spotlight
One who was thrust into an unknown act
Unaware and uneducated of the lines
What's one to do with no familiar audience?
In an environment anew
No guidance, falling victim to jeers of mind
You cast your silent cries
However unaware to the performer an audience did await
Although ambiguous, they retained kind familiarity
After all, the show must go on
You'll find true friends in the final act
When all is done, the curtain truly falls
And the performer is re-granted security
When the audience truly shows their true colors
The performer can take her final bow
