My name is Katelyn Lorraine Lapoint
I'm 13
I have brown hair and blue eyes that turn to grey and hazel
I'm 5'5 and growing taller.
And I am on my 7th month of my Bell's Palsy
I am most likely to bust out laughing in dead silence about something that happened yesterday

For a half hour, every school day, for a few months, I was really happy. I would run down to the stream, and would sit, write, and litsten to my music. It was the perfect place: It was quiet, beautiful, and it was full of peace. It didn't matter whether it was cold or hot, somehow you didn't feel anything sitting on that bridge above the stream. You would feel the wind on your face, and it made your face cold, but inside, you felt warm and cozy, and you almost felt like you couldn't be harmed.

There was something magical about the stream. Maybe it was the fact that nobody was around and I was tiny compared to the tall tree surrounding me. Then again, it could
just been the freedom of knowing that I was listening to the Ipod that was
banned from school, and I wans't getting caught. What ever it was, it doesn't
matter because analyzing something takes away the feeling it gives when you
think about it. It was just a great place, and it made me happy, and I don't
know why.

Everyday, I woul run down to the strem, not stopping for a second and still cotinueing after falling down a scraping my knees up. That is untill my parents said I couldn't go alone anymore. And why bother going if I couldn't listen to my music and be free alone? It felt terrible. I wanted to stay there. I had always thought that supervision was outdated by the time I this old. I had come to this place to get away from adults.

Even to this day, I go to the stream. When things get to hard at home,
and I need to just escape, I make the excuse that I forgot a book at school and
I leave. I cross the field, sometimes stopping at my locker to put away my backpack, and I run to the stream. I lay down in the grass, and think about what ever is bothering me right now. I put my headphones in my ears and blast the song that's playing on my Ipod to full volume, smiling, knowing I can't get yelled at for having it to loud. I breath in deeply and close my eyes, felling the breeze ruffle my hair. I feel free.

I took a huge break from this site, but I'm back and excited to be.
