_________________7 things you should know about me.___________
(1) everything i do is poetry. it beats in my heart and breathes in my soul. it's as much a part of who i am as my haircolor and preferences. i believe i was put on this earth and given my ability by god so i could use it to reach out and touch someone through my words.
(2) if it weren't for my 2 greatest loves, i would be nothing. our saviour and my personal strenght is the lord. it took my best friend and lover to show me that i have never been alone even when i had no one to stand by my side. without those two in my life i would be a blubbering mass of protoplasmic waste.
(3) typically, the rule is this: my poetry falls into one of two categories, 1-sappy, romantic poetry i write for my better half, or 2- dark poetry that relates to something in my past. Lately though, i've been blurring over into other topics and *gasp* attempting to write lyrics! Also, i have one oppinion on strict guidelines for poetry that follows a form. I think the best poetrty does not follow form, but flows wild and unrestrained from the depths of the soul.
(4) i write for a multitude of reasons. none of those reasons are "to please the general public" (most of the time i write because if i don't i'll go insane and kill someone from the excess of emotions)
(5) i promise i will never ever ever shove my faith, my beliefs, or my oppinions down your throat. i will tell you what's on my mind, but that's my oppinion and you can take it or leave it, it doesn't matter to me.
(6) I am not perfect, I make mistakes. correct me. let me know if my grammar and spelling is worse than your average two year old. tell me if i'm not making sense in a poem. critique is valuable to me.
(7) i hardly ever capitalize my 'i's in my poetry, or anything for that matter, unless speaking from the point of view of another person. it's a self esteem thing. i don't think i'm important enough to be capitalized.
