Liz is my inspiration for most of my writing...Once in a while I will write something else usually about something that hit home in my mind or that happened to me.

My favorite books of all time are the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer.
They are amazing and capture my attention like only Brian Jacques' Redwall series and Amelia Atwater-Rhodes' books can.

My absolute favorite thing to do is be with Liz, my one and only, and I think it's only a matter of time till its official.

Love working on and driving classic/muscle car and going to cruise nights.

I am a diehard Red Sox fan which also means that I hate the Yankees with an ultimate passion.

I like playing baseball, I was a pitcher until throwing 200 or more pitches a game for my high school finally took its toll on my arm. I still play when I can just not on a team.

I like giving advice and most of the time I'm told its valuable, also I love making people feel better about themselves.

So if you have a problem feel free to talk to me and I'll see if I can help.

A University professor at a well known institution of higher learning challenged his students with this question. "Did God create everything that exists?" A student bravely replied, :Yes He did". "God created everything?" the professor asked. "Yessir, He certainly did." the student replied.

The professor answered, "If God created everything; then God created evil. And since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who we are, then we can assume God is evil."

The student became quiet and did not answer the professor's hypothetical definition. The professor, quite pleased with himself, boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.

Another student raised his hand and said, "May I ask you a question, professor?" "Of course", replied the professor. The student stood up and asked, "Professor, does cold exist?" "What kind of a question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?" The other students snickered at the young man's question.

The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reallity the absence of heat. Every body, or object, is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body, or matter, have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460 F) is the total absence of heat; and all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat.

The student continued, "Professor, does darkness exist?" The professor responded, "Of course it does."

The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present."

Finally the young man asked the professor, "Sir does evil exist?"

Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course, as I have already said, we see it everyday. It is in the daily examples of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil.

To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist, sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat, or the darkness that comes when there is no light."

The professor sat down.

The young man's name was - Albert Einstein

The Road Less Travelled

Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair

And having perhaps the better claim,

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Though as for that, the passing there

Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay

In leaves no step had trodden black

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

two roads diverged in a wood, and I --

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

"At the touch of love

everyone becomes a poet."-Plato

She asked me if I liked her; I said 'no.' She asked me if she was pretty; I said, 'no.' She asked if she was in my heart; I said, 'no.' She asked me if I would cry if she walked away; I said, 'no.' So she walked away...I grabbed her arm and said, 'I don't like you, I love you. You're not pretty, you're beautiful. You're not in my heart, you are my heart. And I wouldn't cry if you left, I would die...I love you."

Be who you are

and say what you feel

because those who mind

don't matter and those

who matter don't mind."

~Dr. Seuss~

"If you have much, give of your wealth; if you have little, give of your heart."

Flanders Fields

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow

Between the crosses row on row,

That mark our place; and in the sky

The larks, still bravely singing, fly

Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago

We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,

Loved and were loved, and now we lie

In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:

To you from failing hands we throw

The torch; be yours to hold it high.

If ye break faith with us who die

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

In Flanders fields.

"Do not go where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." R.W. Emerson

"Poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese." G.K. Chesterton

I love that quote

When life hands you lemons suck them.

If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear, will anyone care?

"What's the fun of being a teenager if you can't dress weird"~Nicolas Cage~

I wrote your name in the sand, but the waves washed it away. I wrote your name on my hand but I washed it the next day. I wrote your name on a piece of paper but I acciedenatally threw it away... I wrote your name in my heart and forever it will stay!

" It's nice to be nice......but it's nicer to be nicer."

All that is required for evil to triumph is for a few good men to do nothing.

He who lives by the sword will eventually be wiped out by someone with a sawed off shotgun.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Anywhere is walking distance if you have the time.

My interest is in the future because I am going to spend the rest of my life there.

Not one shred of evidence supports the notion that life is serious.

The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do.

I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

We seem to have a compulsion these days to bury time capsules in order to give those people living in the next century or so some idea of what we are like. I have prepared one of my own. I have placed some rather large samples of dynamite, gunpowder, and nitroglycerin. My time capsule is set to go off in the year 3000. It will show them what we are really like.

It is always the best policy to tell the truth, unless, of course, you are an exceptionally good liar.

I let people think what they want, I just dont tell them that most of the time they are wrong.

When Satan is knocking at your door, simply say,

"Jesus, could you get that for me?"!!!!!!

Never frown, even when you are sad, because you never know who is falling in love with your smile.

Don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened.

If you love someone, Put a circle around their name, not a heart, because a heart can be broken, But a circle will go round forever and never break.

You'll never know what will happen, Unless you go for it...Otherwise you'll always be wondering "what if..."

Knowledge is power and well I could care less about the power but I love knowledge.

Never be afraid to try something new.

Remember: Amateurs...built the ark.

Professionals...built the Titanic

I have many a name, call me what you will, but, I shall always remain myself.~

Listen To The Musn'ts

Shel Silverstein

Listen to the musnts child,

Listen to the donts,

Listen to the shouldnts,

The impossibles, the wonts,

Listen to the never haves,

Then listen close to me,

Anything can happen child,

Anything can be.

"Whatever you are, be a good one." - Abraham Lincoln

"In three words I sum up all I have learned about life... it goes on. " Robert Frost

Written by a friend far from home-
I'm writing this note,
Though I've nothing to say.
I'm writing this note,
To brighten your day.
This is no ordinary letter,
For those having bad days.
It makes them better,
I'm hoping that reading this is worth your while.
Maybe somehow, in someway,
It'll make you smile.

I didn't know you read the twilight books...

Looking at your page again, I noticed that you have the poem "In Flanders Field" on there, so I reread it. Once again, it really touched me and made me think of my friends in the military.

I'll have to read your newer poetry; I haven't had a chance to read much lately.

    Regards,

I agree with Upkeep--the Kiesha'ra series is awesome, but I think that the fourth book was a little bit of a letdown. It was good, but not as good as the others. Hawksong is still the best of them all.

I've been reading your poetry over again, and it is still so good.
