"But the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so the potter squashed the jar into a lump of clay and started again"
~ Jeremiah ch.18:4
ABOUT MY POETRY:
My poetry is a very personal thing to me. I've used it over a lot of years to release feelings that I cannot express any other way.
My poems range from love, loneliness or sadness, poems about my Saviour, and some are just me 'experimenting' or being spontaneous. Although most, ofcourse are written from that desperate pang of emotion that just urges you to get a pen and write -even if it's just an unstructured mound of words.
I believe the most beautiful satisfaction of sharing poetry is when you can touch a heart. When somebody can read something you've written and identify. They can say.. 'This is me right now' or 'I've been there too'.
Please feel free to leave your comments. I appreciate your honest opinions!
A FEW OF MY FAVOURITE QUOTES:
"It was a beautiful letdown the day I knew that all the riches this world had to offer me will never do" ~ 'The Beautiful Letdown' by Switchfoot
"What's age? It's simply the number of rotations the earth makes around the sun in the duration of your existance!"
~ Anon
"Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens."
~ JRR Tolkien (Lord Of The Rings ~ Gimli)
"What is essential is invisible to the eye"
~ Antoine De Saint-Exupery
"So Jesus rebuked the wind and the raging waves. The storm stopped and all was calm! Then He asked them, "Where is your faith?" And they were filled with awe and amazement. They said to one another, "Who is this man, that even the winds and waves obey him?" ~ Luke 8:24,25
"This is real love. It is not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins." ~ 1 John 4:10
Many a Copeland lyric!

How much I would rather be,
In The Father's arms. -
Ignorant of the words,
Enchanted by the melody. -
There is so much more than vision,
But the reason why I write,
