Breath deep
The gathering gloom
Watch lights fade
From every room
Bedsitter people
Look back and lament
Another day's useless
Energy spent
Empassioned lovers
Wrestle as one
Lonely man cries for love
And has none
New mother picks up
And suckles her son
Senior citizens
Wish they were young
Cold hearted orb
That rules the night
Removes the colours
From our sight
Red is gray and
Yellow white
But we decide
Which is right
And
Which is an Illusion

griffinpoet : Aw, geez...(blush) on February 12, 2007Thanks for your encouraging comments. All the poems I've added are just old ones that have been rusting on my computer's motherboard. The only new one I've done is "Cover the Scent," so I'm going to have to start writing again, it seems. I have about three different ideas for novels right now, so I'm gearing up for those. I'll try to give you a call sometime, but you know how I like to go to bed early! Talk to you soon!!!
