WordWraithShow poetry

The more that I continue in my education and the more deeply that I delve into the never-ending ocean of human communication and language, the more I realize that there are few people who really understand what they are saying and how they are communicating to other people. I find that too few people treasure the gift of language and take it for granted that they are able to communicate at all. People don't realize that words, while they may be nothing more than symbols endowed with meaning because of the culture that they are present in, have more creative and destructive power than is credited them. Words, if not communication in all its forms, are the life's blood to humans. With them, we create and speak in ways that are endowed with deep symbolic and literal meanings.

I am drawing near to the end of a season. College has been a long 4 years that has produced a lot of growth. I am no longer the bright-eyed, emotionally charged freshman that I came in as. I am now a grizzled veteran, run ragged by wars of ideas and ideologies. I have scars that run as deep and long as myriad canyons and gorges. But I am all the better for it. I welcome a new front with its fresh faces and fresh responsibilities. I welcome the companionship of past and future friends with open arms. Its been a long 4 years, but it's about damn time.

Did I mention I think you would do wonderfully at a Communications major? You're gifted with words, and I think that would suit you quite well! Oh, and I like the new name... it's a bit reminiscent almost. Hope that makes sense! One last thing, I'm sorry I didn't get to see you this trip around! Perhaps next time? Hope you had fun while you were back home!

    Aaron-

I realize I didn't tell you this earlier, but I am already a member of the site. I'm sorry that I didn't let you know, and I hope you won't be upset with me... especially considering I've already read some of your work.

Anyways, if you ever wanted to read more of my works, I'll post them here or you can check me out on deviantArt where I have poetry and photography. Let me know what you think about all this if you have a mind to. Oh, and I have to say that I really like your stuff. It's good.

I guess I'll be off here since I'm getting tired, but I hope you have a good evening. Thanks for hanging out with me tonight. I really enjoyed it. Talk to ya later.
